A word about our sizes: Some people say our sizes run small and some say
they run big. The reality is that the fit of our items changes depending
on the fabric they are made out of, the style of the garment, and the
overall way we want them to look on you. Your safest bet when finding
your size? Go with your largest measurement in accordance with the
chart. This size chart is in no way a guarantee or promise that the item
you buy will be the perfect size for you. You can always have a good
tailor take the item in, but you'll never be able to let it out.

*These items are usually made with
stretchable material and/or come with adjustable straps making
them capable of fitting an array of body shapes and sizes. If
you are at either end of the size ranges above, particularly at
the upper end, you may want to avoid the "one size" styles. |

Corset fitting:
Corsets should be ordered 2 to 6 inches below your normal waist
size, depending on the desired effect. If you are tiny, then your waist
will not compress as easily, nor as far, as a person who is larger.
A good rule of thumb would be to order a corset 4 inches smaller
than your current waist size. Keep in mind that the lacings will not
show skin through the back if the corset is ordered too large. If you
are waist-training, or tight-lacing, a new corset should be ordered when
you are able to lace your corset completely closed.
A properly fitted corset is not uncomfortable, nor painful to
wear. You should never wear a corset that causes pain! A corset should
fit comfortably around the abdomen and hips, and gently compresses only
your waist, allowing for easy breathing. While maintaining their quality
and durability, today's authentic corset styles manage to be very
comfortable.
DO NOT lace a corset too tightly during the first few weeks of
wear. Your beautiful new corset should be "broken in", and learn to fit
your body. You should find the sensation of being gently held straight
with the back supported comfortably. Take special care of the skin under
your corset. It is recommended that you powder the skin before you put
on your corset. You may want to consider wearing a corset liner,
camisole, leotard or chemise to help prevent chafing when the corset is
laced.
